“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:24.
As 7 UPpers we meet weekly in small groups and/or as individuals on the internet, we choose to Praise Him and Worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
Jesus came and told his disciples, I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Gospel: Luke 18:1-8

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'” The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily.   But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (https://www.bible.com/videos/266/series)

‘Will not God do justice to his chosen who call out to
him day & night? I tell you he will give them swift justice.’

During the day: Victory over temptation is not due to self-confidence in one’s resistance, but solely to the conviction that God always wills what’s best for us.

ABOUT PRAYER: Prayer expresses childlike assurance that God is a God of Love, incapable of willing evil; the pain he permits purifies.
